Newport Nest is tucked into a quiet street just moments from the Yarra River, this heritage bungalow has been carefully reimagined for a young, growing family. Our approach respected the home’s original character—retaining period details like decorative ceilings and timber fretwork—while opening up the floorplan to create light-filled, connected spaces for modern living. A subtle single storey rear addition blends seamlessly with the existing form, making room for a generous kitchen, butlers pantry, family sized laundry, living and dining that connect effortlessly into the backyard. This home is a celebration of balance: past and present, warmth and practicality, tradition and transformation.
